Only to an extent. Brightness tools 'boost' the existing light in a file. If there is absolutely zero light information in the shadows, boosting the brightness will only result in 'digital noise' (grain). However, for most low-light situations, our tool can significantly improve visibility.
If you push the brightness too far on a low-quality file, you might see some digital noise. We recommend using the **Contrast** slider in combination with Brightness to keep the blacks 'deep' while making the subjects 'pop'.
