NTA's Zero Tolerance for 'Red Eye' & Reflections
JEE Main 2026 Photo Rules
Critical Rejection Rules
Rule #1: White Background Only
Unlike some state exams that accept light blue, JEE Main requires a **white background**. If you have a photo with a colored background, use a background remover tool before uploading it here to resize.
Rule #2: No Computer Generated Photos
NTA has strict algorithms to detect AI-generated or morphed photos. Do not use apps that heavily filter or 'beautify' your face. The photo must look like you on the exam day.
Rule #3: Spectacles & Reflections
If you wear glasses regularly, you can keep them on. However, if there is **any** flash reflection on the lenses, the photo will be rejected. It is safer to remove them if you can see without them for the photo.
How to Resize for JEE Main
Step 1
**Select Photo:** Choose a clear, recent photo with a white background.
Step 2
**Enter Name & Date:** The tool will automatically add your Name and Date of Taking Photo at the bottom.
Step 3
**Crop:** Adjust the frame to ensure your face covers about 80% of the area.
Step 4
**Download:** The tool will compress it to be between 10KB and 200KB.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
❌ My photo is 250KB.
✅ Use the compression slider to reduce the quality slightly until it is under 200KB.
❌ Date is not clear.
✅ Ensure you type the date in DD/MM/YYYY format. The tool places it on a white strip at the bottom for maximum visibility.
